What is RSS?

RSS is a way to subscribe to posts from blogs and news sites. Some applications can read a RSS feed, and present it in a reader friendly format. It is a neat way to collect news from newspapers and blogs in one single application.

Two examples of such applications are FeedReader and Thunderbird, which is an e-mail and RSS reader.
